The first surgery was to treat a macular hole in my right eye using gas bubble. Three weeks after the first surgery I had a retinal detachment in the same eye. So I did the vitrectomy again but this time using silicone oil. It is now a month and my vision is still blurry with only a slight improvement . I m beginning to see flashes only in bright places but not in the dark when my retina was first detached which I saw flashes and curtain coming down. I do also get headaches occasionallly due to eye pressure from the oil. The fist two weeks the pressure went down from 50 to 19. My doctor says the oil in the eye may have to be removed sooner than expected if the prssusre still persists.
